What organisational structure should I recommend?
There’s no one size fits all structure for businesses looking to do good, and currently there isn't a social enterprise designation in Canada. There are pros and cons of the different structures based on the business's intended impact, and it's really about what makes most sense for them.

Ask your client: "What would the world look like without your business what will it look like because of it? What are the intended outcomes?" Having those answers will help them figure out what they need to do to measure and prove the positive impact of their idea.

While there are many new and exciting opportunities available to businesses doing good, we can't forget that as businesses, they may qualify for many of the funding opportunities that you're already referring to clients.
